A cold Autumn Day -by pollywog (Part Two)
The very next day was chilly outside. So cold I had to wear a coat, hat and gloves.
I like cold days just as much as warm ones.
When it's cold outside I find different fun things to do.
On this day I decided to make a pine cone, acorn, mud pie...they're my specialty.
First we had to gather acorns, wild strawberries, mud, and leaves in the woods.
Then I made my pie and put it in the oven to bake.
While it was baking I swept up my mess.
Next mommy and me made a special farm for my animals.
The animals were having so much fun.
My new favorite movie at the moment is Charlotte's Web, so my pig is special to me.
Later that evening Daddy, mommy, bubbie and me made a fire and roasted hot dogs, played music and looked at the night sky. (thats my daddy and me roasting hot dogs)
That's my mommy.
I like Autumn because you get to have special warm days and special cold ones.
A warm Autum Day -by pollywog (Part One)
Today was a very special warm day. So warm I didn't have to wear my coat or hat.
So warm that mommy let me paint pumpkins on our sunporch...it really was a sunny porch.
Sometimes when I paint I concentrate very hard
So warm I even got to eat my favorite lunch outside...peanut butter and jelly sandwich with pretzel sticks!
So warm that mommy took me to the park so I could run in the grass. It's my most favorite thing to do.
Today was a very special warm day...and I loved it sooo much!
at home today
All that we need or want is around us.
B was working,no classes for me today, and CJ was busy with school...sooo
Pollywog and I explored, created and enjoyed our imaginations.
Our exploring took place in our backyard.
trying to catch up in photos
Although this cannot even begin to do our summer justice, here are some highlights.
At the start of summer B and two ol' college buddies took a road trip to Utah, and spent 9 days hiking and camping and making wonderful memories. I worked out religiously all summer and fell in love with bike riding again.
The rest of the summer was spent picnicking and swimming at a favorite water hole. tossing footballs exploring and often soaking in a backyard pool or the one in town, trying to stay cool.
We were blessed with loads of quality, family time...and even managed to wrap up our summer with a mini vacation.
Then school, football season and well...the rest we shall see
